The Green Road

The Green Road was an ancient pilgrim route to Glendalough's Monastic City. It passed through Roundwood and Trooperstown and the land of Captain Hugo, one of the earliest recorded landowners in the area. Hugo's Law still governs the Green Road that "you may pass on it with or without a horse".
